I've done more research and the marriage you think happened in 1935 between Edward Patrick Foley and Eleanor Mabel Humbley was not that of Mario.  The Foley in that marriage was born in 1897 in Silvertown Essex.  This maybe why the father's occupation is stated as police inspector rather than Clerk/Ship's Clerk as you know it to be.  The more likely marriage was in 1944 in Cairo to a name I have but won't state on the offchance she's living.

I can't tell if you have had any success on the DNA side.  I personally have used all of the major DNA test providers and uploaded to other sites where that facility is provided.  If your family tree tracing is accurate I may be able to help on that.  Also checking that the spelling of your grandmother's name is accurate.  I have it as Giuseppina Bambara but I'm thinking you change it on some of your posts but not on purpose.

You seem to have details of Giuseppina Bambara as the first wife of William (Wilfred) Patrick Foley.  Do you have any information of what happened to her? In some records there is a similarly located Giuseppina (Josephine) Bambara (1885-1952) who married Dessman but all the timings overlap.  It seems too coincidental to have two people of the same name of Italian extraction and similar birthdates living in Alexandria, Egypt.

Next question, again open for public comment, is contrary to a marriage record for Edward Patrick Foley (aka Mario) that you've posted previously.  There is a GRO record of Edward Patrick Foley marrying XXXXX in Cairo 1944.  Her name is similar to a previous posting of yours but doesn't accord with the 1935 Kensington record you have which I think is another Edward Patrick Foley (son of the policeman).  This maybe helpful.

Bonron.  I'm on a similar tracking path to you but similarly will not be using living names here.  I will do as separate posts so that any public replies are separate by subject.
The first point is that although there is a GRO record of Edward Patrick Foley marrying Giuseppina Bambara in 1902, you'll appreciate there isn't a clear record or what happened to her after aside from most likely being the mother to both Edward Patrick Foley (aka Mario) b1903 and Michael Foley b1905.  Have you managed to exclude the other /possibly same Giuseppina Bambara (b 19 November 1885) who married Guido Angelo Battista Dessmann (b1879)?

I think there's a fair chance that your father may have fathered another prior to a short spell at his (then) majesty's pleasure.  That would have been in West London in 1928/9. As that person is living I won't go into detail here but the mother's maiden name was Steed.  Does that chime with your research or knowledge?
