Gouldie,
I am the great grandson of Bessie Norris, sister of Lillian Gould (nee Norris). I am trying to get more information on the Gould family. I have been able to find quite a bit of information, but I wanted to see if I could verify the information that I have. I also am trying to help my dad's cousin, Cynthia Golfus, who is planning on a visit to New Zealand to connect with members of the Gould family. I believe that she has already been in touch with Bob and David.

Here is the information that I have for the descendants of George and Lillian Gould.

d. June 29, 1972
m. Lillian May Norris May 21, 1916

son - George Reginald (Arthur?) Gould
b. April 26, 2918 Catcott, Somerset, England

Thanks for the information. It looks like Gouldie is no longer active on the forum. I will try to post to the original thread and mention this thread.

You are correct, I had the wrong husband for Lillian Norris. She was married to George Alexander Gould. Their son was Richard "Dick" Samuel Gould. Here is more information that I have on the family.

I am looking for information for my paternal great grandmother Bessie Norris. I have traced the family line back to John Norris 1465-1535. Here is the information that I have.

John Norris born 1465 in Winkleigh, Devon, England
Marriage to Agnes Galhampton born 1470 in Winleigh, Devon, England
Son - William born 1524 in Milverton, Somerset, England
Death - 1535
Buried at St. Decumans, Somerset, England

Any Information would be appreciated.

Lanarkshire / Searching for James Moffat and Elizabeth Story

I am trying to connect my mother's paternal line to the Moffat Clan of Scotland. I have traced the line back to James Moffat born 1733.
Wife Elizabeth Story born 1735.
Married 1761.
6 children
James born 1763 died 1769
Suesannah born 1765
William born 1766
Robert born 1768
James born 1779
Katherine born 1780

I have found this family line in the Clan Moffat website but this is as far back as I have been able to find. Any additional information regarding this family line would be appreciated.

Most of my family lines end in the 1700's with two lines back to the 1400's. I have one line that ends in 1840 and is a complete dead end at this point. The worst part is that it is a primary surname. There is some speculation that there may have been a name change or that they were adopted. I am hoping to put together more information through the use of this forum.

Hi to All,
I am trying to locate family of Lillian May Gould nee Norris. She was married to Richard "Dick" Samuel Gould. I have a lot of information regarding her family.
Lillian's parents are Samuel Norris and Euphemia Norris nee Pasker.
George and Lillian had 2 sons, George Reginald and Richard Samuel.

I am the great-grandson of Lillian's sister Bessie Glaser nee Norris. I just found the RootsChat forum and look forward to utilizing the knowledge of this group.

I have a family member from the United States that is going to New Zealand to look for more information on the George Alexander Gould and Lillian May Gould (nee Norris) family. She would like to be able to get more information on this side of the family.

I came across an old post from April 29, 2015 with a post from Gouldie. She stated that she was the daughter of Richard Gould. I can't send any message through the forum yet and it doesn't look like she has been active since 2015. If anyone has any information regarding the Gould family I would appreciate it.
