World War Two / RASC Service Record
« on: Thursday 23 January 25 18:29 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,

My great grandfather served in the RASC in WW2. I have just received a copy of his service record and it stated he was posted to the 9th Training Battalion RASC on the 28th Oct 1940. Is there anywhere I can find more information into the activities of this battalion?

Many thanks

Hello,

Is anyone able to decipher this writing? It's a fair bit faded.

Thanks in advance  :)

Armed Forces / Gunner RAF

Hello all,

On my great uncles RAF service record, his rank is given as a Gunner.

Any ideas on what this role was/what they did?

Many thanks

Hi all,

My 3x great uncle Henry WATSON b. 1818 in Whitehills, Banffshire, was the Administrator General of British Guiana. I am looking for information on his son, James WATSON and grandchildren as mentioned in his will (Thomas Woodman WATSON & Frances Resina (?) WATSON). I believe that his descendants remained in Guiana.

Is there any good websites/archives available where I can gain further information on these individuals.

 - many thanks
