hello

Are there any Dykes family members recorded? Specifically, anyone named Andrew Dykes  or Annabella.
Many thanks.

I have also found that Edmund Bach was declared bankrupt in November 1831. Apparently in the newspaper of the time he is described as a coal and potato mechant or seller. I wondered if he appears in any London trade directories of the time? I have no knowledge of London records sadly.

Thank you all for replies and comments.

I did find the previous info on Rootschat from other posters when searching for any Bach references.

I am none the wiser if Edmund died between 1837-1839. The fact the widow was wearing mourning clothes in 1839 suggests he may have died in early 1839 or late 1838? I don't know.

thanks again.

Thank you.

I don't recognise the middle names and not aware of any connection with the area. Still I suppose there is a chance it could be him.

London and Middlesex / Edmund Bach

My ancestor married in London in 1827. Edmund Bach was his name. Charlotte Mayland his bride.

His sons were born in 1828 and 1832 respectively, again in London. I have seen the entries for these events except the 1832 birth.

His wife remarried in February 1840, again in London (John William Barker). OK so Edmund must have died.

In December 1839 his wife appeared in court "dressed in mourning clothes". So, I thought he probably died after 1837 - likely in 1838 or 1839 if she is wearing mourning clothes. The case was brought by her employer in Worcester.

Edmund was a glovers traveller, potato merchant and various other dealerships all in London

However, I cannot find mention of Edmund in 1837-1840 death indexes. Any comments on how to find?
I wondered if his wife moved to Worcester from London after his death - just a guess!

thanks

on 1908 birth cert Jane's name is given as Jane Black - then address - then baby's name in full

Jane's birth father is still alive in 1908
