thanks Nell, I donīt quite understand that bit of ...Canterbury, but anyway, they do have a research service in hampshire record office, but very expensive, through credit card from spain !! thanks anyway

someone very helpful sent me details of a will in hampshire records office, now I canīt find it on NA index to get a copy 
details are: title will of Alexander wills of Marchwood, eling, hampshire date 1834
title attested copia probate of the will of alexander wills 19 jul 1839. thankyou in advance for any help

hi everyone, a bit stuck here! I have my gtgtgranfather as william wells on gtgrandadīs birth certificate but found him on all census returns as william george; on his marriage certificate it says william WILLS and on previous to his marriage censusīit says wills too. on the marriage cert his father is stated as john alexander wills, farrier. the only John Alexander I can find on the census is his brother, being the fatherīs name JOhn E or P in different returns. canīt find his birth index and donīt know what to do now? could they have made a mistake on the marriage cert? is it possible? are they the same guys? help !!!

g a west died 23/06/1915, service no 16283, bedford house cemetery, belgium. how about that ?

have you searched the commonwealth war graves commision ? what about a service number ?
