I may have an interesting tale to the Mackin story for you all, I was born a Mackin in the UK and our trail back through time has been really interesting. So my great great great grandfather is one James Mackin which I believe is from Cork ireland, all I know was he was regimented there... Here's where it gets odd... During the potato famine a family of Mackins went over to Jersey... And a C was removed from the name.... So they are now Makin and we only found them about a decade ago through our own research. Can anyone add any pieces to my family trail???
