Sorry I'm all muddled. The Andrew who's mother is either a Walker or a Mickle was born in 1874, age 37 in the 1911 census, living in Oystershell Lane, Newc

Yes. The later census have him born anywhere from 1831 to 1835, occupation shoe maker.

I'm equally impressed and rather jealous lol

Perhaps you can help solve a little issue. My g great grandfather was Andrew Morton of 1835? Newcastle, married to Margaret Hart. Now originally I had his parents as Andrew Snr and Margaret Mickle BUT I think in fact his mam was Margaret Walker. One path leads to Edward and Jane and the other to John and Isobel...  be lovely if you had records to prove which is right

Have you managed to go any further back? Am discovering the 1700s are a stopping block when it comes to family history

John and Andrew were the twin sons of John Murton of Sheepwash and his wife Isabella.
