Thanks for sharing this. Very interesting . I had to smile at the idea of the Worthing newspaper awarding a prize of a grand piano. If some of my lot had fancied entering the competition, I’m not sure where they’d have put a grand piano if they’d won , in their two rooms housing 7 adults and one teenager, shared yard and shared outside WC.Yes, I wonder if someone donated the piano? You make a good point about the suitability of the prize. There can’t have been many people who had the space for a grand piano in their home. Still, it doesn’t seem to have dampened their enthusiasm for entering the competition.
