Thanks for this incredible work LadyHawke I really appreciate it and everyone else.
The will gives a list of people but she is the only one on Anglesey.
The only other with a connection is John Howell Hughes a docter based in Liverpool. There is a full obituary for him which includes him being sheriff of Anglesey in 1954 and awarded an OBE (after Anitas Death).
Thanks again

I think so....is the list all known addresses?
That’s exciting. They changed their name and George was removed as executor of his father will hence the name change I’m guessing.
She is mentioned in Anita’s will.
Thank you for your help it’s much appreciated.
Can I ask what you used to trace her?
Thanks again

Can I ask

What the context for the mention in the times was? Anita exhibited work in the Royal Cambrian Academy of Art but not until 1935 and 1936.

‘The only painting I could spot was "Autumn Landscape", mentioned in the Times Jun 25 1934. Googling "Autumn Landscape Tregarneth" delivered an image.’

Can I also ask what the obituary said

Many thanks.

The only "obit" spotted was a very short Death notice in The Times

Thank you.
I was just hoping that the publication of her books would include photographs but so far only written reviews and adverts.
Her husband George Henry Tregarneth was sheriff of Anglesey in 1948 but there doesn’t seem to be photographs of those.
Anita/George travelled extensively from 1910 to 1960 so was hoping that photographs may exist of onboard some of the transatlantic ships. They were on the Ss Maurentania to New York in 1914 for example.
Thanks again.

I do thank you.
I thought her published books may lead me to a photograph of her but nothing yet.
Her Founders of Faith in Wales has since been republished.
Thanks again

Thank you it should be 1881 sorry my miss type.
She died in Jersey so I have details of that.
I have a lot of details and you are correct that link is to the correct Tildesley family. They married in 1907 so she was Thomas until 1928 when they changed their name.
She travelled a lot which I have details of and they seem to have several addresses on Anglesey and in Dorset. I am really keen to find a photograph of her but having no joy.

I am researching Anita Elizabeth Tildesley and her husband George henry Thomas.
Married in 1907, they changed their name to Tregarneth in 1928.
I am particularly interested in anything during the second world war when Anita Elizabeth was named on Land tax for Plas Bodfa, Beaumauris. Anita was a writer, poet and artist. (The Call of the Sea and Founders of Faith in Wales). Photographs, stories anything would be wonderful. Their address varies over the years 1935 to late 50s but one was Voel Vanna (Church Bay) Porth Swtan.
Her family lived in Plas Mor, Rhosneigr and later her brothers lived in a large house on Menai Strait.
In 1907 she lived where her aunt lived at Glan Aber, Llangefni.
I am also trying to trace Miss Dwynwen Evans of Ty Lawr Newborough
