Hi, is there any way to get copy of this book?
Grandfather was a Lucas and have traced back to George Lucas (born approx 1805).
With thanks.

Hi, not sure if my original post was well written.  Unfortunately not related to Sir George Gilbert Scott's family - but just wondered if my ancestor John Dolton had worked on the church in Hamburg.
I cannot find his records (yet :( ) but his son was definitely born in Hamburg according to his death certificate and also his naturalisation papers.
Apparently there is an English (Anglican) Church in Hamburg and I am assuming the family would have attended there.  Should I contact the church directly or where else would I possibly be able to find birth / christening records from Hamburg in the 1840s?
Thanks so much for everyone's kind assistance!

Hi, one of my ancestors just pops up almost out of nowhere.  After a great deal of frustration got a hold of his death certificate.  He was born in Hamburg (to English parents).  Luckily the death certificate showed that his father was a Stonemason.  Now I'm probably clutching at straws here as I cannot find his father's name in records but Sir George Gilbert Scott was behind the building of St Nicholas Church in Hamburg, so am wondering if this was the reason he was in Hamburg at the time of his son's birth.  Any ideas as to where I can track down the father as no idea where he came from in England/UK.
Thanks,
Gata
