Thankyou to both Arthturk and Treetotal for both replies.
I was trawling through info last night and came across the magazine.  I was really confused, I now believe that Wistow parish church and All Saints are the same building but with shared time.
I am hoping to get over for a Sunday morning service. I don’t think it will make a lot of difference which I attend, unless the vicar would have any objection. I do hope I get the chance to have a look around the inside of the church either before or after the service.
Thankyou both for your time and replies.

Thankyou Treetotal for both your welcome and your reply.
Not sure what else I can do. I’ve been to Wistow church in East Riding, twice and it’s been locked up and no sign of anyone. If I could find out if the church is still used for services etc that would be a start. I’ll try and dig a bit deeper.
Thankyou again for your reply

Sorry to jump on your post.
I would like to ask a question regarding brother and sister Laura and Vincent Giddy who are my distant relatives late 1800’s early 1900’s.
I have been to the church twice but can’t catch it open.
I believe there to be a lecturn within the church which was either presented too or by Vincent Giddy who went off to be a missionary at a young age. I believe he was held in high esteem by the church, school and villagers alike.
His sister, I believe was a spinster and a very good artist.
There are many Giddys buried in Wistow church yard.
If anyone has any information it would be really greatfully recieved.
I also have limited information of the village that may be shareable.
If Penelopespider has any information I would be very happy to receive your info please.
Many thanks in anticipation Suepre
