Wow! Thanks so much. Anyway to get marriage certificate for his 2nd marriage in Roscommon Ireland. He married my grandmother Ellen Gilleran on April 19, 1909.

Hi, Found my grandfather on 1900 New York census with his first wife. Is there a way to get a copy of their marriage license? Names were Thomas Nevin & Winifred Benson.

Amazingly, I found another child for my great grandfather Thomas Nevin and Ellen Shruhan. I found the baptism.

Hi,

I am related to Davis clan of Roscommon. My great great grandfather was Mathew Davis born Kilteevan around 1811. His daughter Catherine Davis my great grandmother was born around 1846 in Cloonybeirne Roscommon. Catherine married my great grandfather James Gilleran. His daughter my grandmother Ellen Gilleran married my grandfather Thomas Nevin. My father Michael was born in Corbo Roscommon.

Not sure if any of this helps but we are catholic.

Hi, I am very interested in this thread since my ancestors came from Roosky including my dad Michael Nevin, born 1913. See my thread trying to find Thomas Nevin’s ancestors.

My great grandfather Thomas Nevin married Ellen Shruhan or Shreehan b. around 1844 in 1859 in Roscommon. Her father was James. She had brothers and sisters. She died in 1909. No info on my great grandfather. Apparently the Shruhan or Shreehan lived on Lanesboro Road in Roscommon.

I also am related to Hanly’s on my grandmother Ellen Gilleran’s side. She married my grandfather Thomas Nevin born 1862 in 1909.

Wondering if there is any relation to the John Shreehan 1865 clan you mentioned.

Loved the article on Kilteevan and that it was written by Shane Gilleran. My grandmother was Ellen Gilleran.

Do not know much about my great great grandfather James Shruhan or another variation of last name. He was born in Roscommon Ireland and his first son was born 1821 so when family search found the record below wondered if it could be James Shruhan.

Any help appreciated.

As far as 1881 census not sure if it is accurate for Thomas Nevin as no record of his birth. First record I found was 1900 US census in him.
