You should have an option to pause the subscription when it expires.  I always pause my sub to make sure I have some time to find the subscription deal.

That *may* work for you.  I don't use the tools though so cannot confirm for you.

I’ve just cancelled my membership that runs out in Feb 2024…

I’ve received an email to say that cancellation is confirmed.. I can carryon using it until the sub runs out..

When I use the link to create a new sub it’s only showing the 6 mth ones not annual… am I doing something wrong..

If I’ve cancelled it why’s it still allowing me to use it until Feb… no offer of refund pro rata…

Any advice/ help would be much appreciated.. thanks in advance.

Try logging out of Ancestry first before using either of the above links.  Once logged out, click on the link, which hopefully will show the discounted amount at the top of the page.  Sign in from that page and it should take you directly to the payment page, showing the amount you need to pay.  I've just tried it whilst signed out and it is still showing the discounted price.  Hope it works for you!

justmej

The link still works😁

First - a very warm but belated welcome to Rootschat

Glasgow Chronicle, 3 Jul 1850

Thank you - It's great to be here.

Renfrewshire Independent, 26 Jun 1858
KILBARCHAN CATTLE SHOW - Results

That's a great find - Thanks!

Where did you find it?  Is it a subscription site?

Fowler's Paisley & Commercial Directory and General Advertiser 1853-1854
QUARRELTON
Linwood Victualling Society, John Galbraith, salesman

Any connection?

Update - the 1845-46 Directory has "John Galbreath" not "Galbraith" and need to recheck '53-54 (but problems repeating search).
Update - '53-'54 reads "Galbraith".

I think there's a reasonable fair chance.  I'll look into it - Thanks.

Hi, assuming that you got this from Scotlands People, I would suggest you go back on the site and report a problem with the image. Report an issue just above the image in question. The will either look at the original record for you or more likely rescan the document.

That's a great idea!  Many thanks!

FreeCen transcribes it as Society House Linwood

Could it be the Kilbarchan General Society?
https://rlhf.info/kilbarchan-general-society/

Thanks, I hadn't looked there.  I've been looking for a link to the Kilbarchan General Society and Society House but have not as yet been able to find one.

Hi

Hoping someone can help me decipher the record for John & Janet Galbraith (item 4 on the schedule).  Find My Past has it as Society House but I have not been able to find any trace of this in any records.  Ancestry has just missed it out.

Help!

Thanks in advance
