Elizabeth's paternal grandmother was Anne Crocket (married to her grandfather, John Cameron). Anne Crocket's mother and father were Thomas Crocket and Agnes Aitken who were both descendants of Bruce. Thomas was also descended from the Lyons of Glamis, The Stewart Kings and through Joan Beaufort, Queen of Scots (James 1st's wife) he was descended from John of Gaunt and the Plantagenet Kings of England. On another line he was also descended from Owen Tudor.

Thank you Sarah. For added interest in this thread, Elizabeth Cameron, James Glen's wife, although I'm certain she was unaware of the fact, was a direct descendant of Robert the Bruce.

I appreciate that these posts were made a long time ago but if any of you are still around, James Glen 1791 and Elizabeth Cameron 1801 are my 3 x great grandparents.
