I'm researching my mother's family from Pescina and not finding much.  My grandfather's name was Rufino Croce (born 1888) so I realize Croce is a very common name.  His father was Paolo Croce who was married to Ruffina (or Pippina) Rugerei (or Rugerii). Any help would be appreciated.  Sue

Yes.  I understand that church records wee destroyed in earthquake for 1915 so this is very helpful. Grazie

My grandfather Pasquale Tomassi left Sora in 1907. Married Angelina DeSarra from Villavallelonga.  Followed her relatives to Rochester NY where name changed to Tomasso.  Don't know why or when.
