Devon / WEBBERs in Holcombe Rogus
« on: Tuesday 03 February 09 17:07 GMT (UK)  »
Hi all
I have traced relatives back to 1841 born in Holcombe Rogus, Devon.

The furthest back I have got is Henry Webber born about 1780
Had son Robert b.1806 in same village, who had son Robert in 1842, who had son Tom in 1872.  Robert (1842) moved to Yorkshire with his family when Tom was about 2.

I am wanting contacts of anyone who is related or anyone who can look at parish registers to see if there were any other members of the family - particularly more generations further back?

Can anyone help?
:-)

Searching ANY info on the DILLON travelling family especially family of Thomas Gerald DILLON who was killed in an accident in February 1935 in Paddington, London. It is thought they originated from Ireland.
thanks

Hi there is a Mary Elizabeth Dickinson born in Leeds in 1890 showing on FreeBMD - that would make her 21 so it is a possibility. Do you have a copy of her marriage certificate to Walter? That way you can find her fathers name - then look at the 1901 census to see if you can find more. Good luck.  :)

Searching for connections to my DICKINSONs.

Benjamin DICKINSON was born abt 1852 in Potternewton, Leeds. His father's name was John. Benjamin married Jane MORTON abt Sept.1873 in Leeds. Jane was born abt. 1855 in Wragthorne, Leeds.

Benjamin and Jane had 7 known children - Mary Ann (b.1874), Annie (b.1876), Florence (b.1878), James Arthur (b.1881), Herbert (b.1886), Ethel (b.1888) and Alfred (b.1894). Alfred was my great grandfather.

Has anyone any links? ???

:) Hi I have no obvious immediate link to your Mary Elizabeth - however please let me have some more names and details as I have some brothers and sisters without many details so there could be a link somewhere. Also where did your Dickinsons live? Have you found any of them on any censuses?
regards
Jo

Hi my earliest STEWART is Robert Stewart who married in 1845 - he was a slater by profession according to his son's birth cert. His son CHARLES STEWART was born October 10th 1846 in Newcastle upon Tyne. Any connections so far?
