Not sure if its any help- I have a copy of a rare book "Belinda the backward" by Salome Hocking. Its inscribed "with the good wishes ofan old friend" Salome Hocking 1/9/1905. It is embossed with the name B Bennetto, 1 Theobald Rd, Croydon - I am thinking this may be the father of Walter Bennetto who wrote in Cornish and was a teacher in Croydon in the 1940's (Wikipedia). Salome Hocking was associated with the Croydon Brotherhood Church a Tolstoyan community and also Cornish.
