Just put o*d*n*l* in the surname box and garngad in the place box. Patrick is listed from 1920 until 1935, and Bridget in 1940.Oh how exciting - I will have a look! Never used that part of it before!

The SP index lists the death of Bridget Geraghty, other surname O*d*n*l*, aged 65, in Springburn in 1949.what is the SP index?

I wonder if they could have gone back to Ireland for a while? Do you have a list of all the children, and are there any gaps whch might suggest a birth in Ireland?
well they were born in Scotland so would they go "back"?
1881 I have 4 Bright St
1891 he'd be about 13, cant find anything
1901, he was in the army so thats probs why cant find anything but his attestation papers (1898) say Garngad with his dad John
1908 he marries Bridget - Garngad Rd
1911 he'd be about 32 - nothing
when he dies in '36 him and Bridget are living at Garngad
So I'm not sure where Ireland would fit in? I have 2 kids born after 1915 in Glasgow but there are 3 that I cannot find records for? In all my Ireland research it seems everyone was getting out of there in the 1900s not going there?!
Also, try the 1901 and 1911 censuses of Ireland - they are free to view online at http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/

The index to the 1911 census lists just two Patrick O'Donnells in the City of Glasgow. Only one is aged 32, and he is listed in Garngadhill.
At the same address is Annie O'Donnell, 26.
I suggest that you look at that record and see what it tells you.
