Interested in your MONTGOMERY query to see if any relation to me, but I think not.  Mine were mostly in New South Wales.
I'll try to attach a snip of the notice from Toowoomba Chronicle for you
Dawn M

I think this may be the William that is connected (he would be my grand uncle), we know that he was in the Masonic Lodge there and I have managed to get his details from the head office.

Derry (Londonderry) / Cassidy - Francis and Manus in County Londonderry
« on: Saturday 11 September 21 12:40 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to find more details about a Manus and Francis Cassidy.

I have found a record of a Manus Cassidy who married a Jane McCallister, they were married in Tamlaght O'Crilly Upper, his address was Boveedy. Unsure as to when Manus was born or when he died, as haven't been able to find any other details yet.

His father is listed as Francis Cassidy on the marriage record, other than his name we have no other details.

Manus had a son called William, also born in the same area and married a Margaret Mullan at Killyguillib Church of Ireland. They had 12 children, I have already found most of their details and some are burried in Tamlaght church.

Martha McLatchey was born at Culdoo Upper townland in the civil parish of Ballymoney on 16 January 1879 to parents David McLatchey and Mary Trimbles:
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1879/02934/2074944.pdf

David McClatchy married Mary Pollock nee Trimble in 1876, both were widowed and living in Culduff (Culduff = Cul dubh = Culdoo), the two fathers were recorded as David McClatchy and James Trimble, both farmers:

Culdoo Upper:

This looks like Martha's mother and several siblings in 1901:

Martha McClatchey married William Campbell in 1902:

Perhaps a son Joseph Alexander Campbell born to William and Martha in 1903?
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1903/01853/1722225.pdf

On Martha's side I had came across that she was married previously to a William Campbell, just was unsure where they were married or he came from so this helps, thank you.

Martha had two daughters to William, one was called Elizabeth and another Ellen Mary, so there may have been a son as well to add to the list. They seem to have all travelled to the US with Martha to be with Thomas Samuel.
Though she had one daughter with Thomas Samuel who was born in Scotland called Margaret Ethel Cassidy.

Further to the parents of the Thomas S. Cassidy identified at Reply #2, the closest fit I can see thus far for Thomas S., is a child registered at Kilrea subdistrict (Ballymoney district) as just 'Samuel' Cassidy, born on 16 March 1885 to parents William Cassidy and Margaret Mullan of Drumard (could it be that he was maybe baptised as Thomas?):
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1885/02650/1977021.pdf

This is the family in 1901:
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Londonderry/Swatragh/Upperlands/1545901/

The same family in 1911:
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Londonderry/Swatragh/Tirgarvil/611932/

William Cassidy and Margaret Mullan were married in 1876, their address was Killygullib, the two fathers recorded as Manus Cassidy and John Mullan, both labourers:
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1876/11181/8097130.pdf

I'm guessing that their marriage address is the townland of Killygullib Glebe, a neighbouring townland of Drumard in the civil parish of Tamlaght O'Crilly, ie...

Killygullib Glebe:
https://www.townlands.ie/londonderry/loughinsholin/tamlaght-ocrilly/hervey-hill/killygullib-glebe/

Drumard:
https://www.townlands.ie/londonderry/loughinsholin/tamlaght-ocrilly/tamlaght/drumard/

As parents for William Cassidy, I wonder about the following folk who got married in 1851... Manus Cassidy and Jane McAllister of Bovedy (another neighbouring townland of Killygullib Glebe), the two fathers recorded as Francis Cassidy a farmer and John McAllister a schoolmaster:
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1851/09402/5405878.pdf

Bovedy:
https://www.townlands.ie/londonderry/coleraine/tamlaght-ocrilly/hervey-hill/bovedy/

I have found the information about Thomas Samuel Cassidy, such as his date of birth and his parents were William Cassidy and Margaret Mullan and where he was born as we still live within that area. We know that he had 3 sons left behind in Scotland to his first wife Mary, though 2 of them came to Northern Ireland and one of those is my grandfather.

The one part I haven't been able to find out about him is where he may have been burried at.
Along with the other part of finding Manus Cassidy, as far as we got was that his fathers name was Francis Cassidy.

Antrim / McKeague Dunseverick Area - Name Varies, McKague/Mckeag/McKaig
« on: Wednesday 08 September 21 12:04 BST (UK)  »
I have been looking for the name McKeague around the Dunseverick area, seems they lived mainly at Aird, although the name tends to vary on birth and death records. So far the variations that I have found are McKague/Mckeag/McKaig which is making people a little difficult to find.

So far I have this:
Father - Andrew McKeague (1818-1910)
Spouse - Elizabeth Douglas (1837-1914) meant to have been from Tonduff
Their children are are buried at Billy church but unsure if parents are there as not mentioned on gravestone:
William Hugh - died 1951
Andrew - died 1895
Alice - died 1896
Ellen Mary - died 1895
Eliza Ann - 1895

On Andrew and Elizabeth's birth record, his father is listed as Daniel.

The Montgomery that is connected to us is -
Full name is William Shaw Montgomery
Born 28th April 1909 in Muckamore, County Antrim, Northern Ireland.
His Father - John A. Montgomery
Mother - Annie McGrath

Some information found mentioned he may have died on 19th July 1989 in Toowoomba, just unsure as to how to confirm this.

What we have found out so far is:

Thomas Samuel Cassidy was born 17th March 1886 in Kilrea, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. We know when he went to the US etc as we found the information.

He was married three times
1st was to Mary McNicol in Kirkintilloch, Scotland
2nd was to Martha McClathie which was also Scotland
3rd was Ellen Henry

Though he had one daughter with Martha who was called Margaret Ethel who we have been trying to trace as she is the one that would be directly connected to us. From what we found she married a Robert Howard Orr in 1942.

We have found when Martha went to the US to be with Thomas, and know she was previously married with children.

United States of America / Cassidy in Cuyahoga, Ohio - Links to Northern Ireland
« on: Tuesday 07 September 21 20:03 BST (UK)  »
I have recently discovered that my great-grandfather emigrated from Scotland to the United States. He is meant to have lived in Cuyahoga, Ohio and died around 1955.

At the time he moved there he was married to Martha, her surname varies - McClathie/McLatchey. They had one daughter together called Margaret Ethel Cassidy who was born in Scotland.
Although Martha had two daughters from a previous marriage - Ellen and Elizabeth Campbell.
They all emigrated from Scotland to the United States as Thomas was already over there.

We would love to find out what happened to Thomas and where he may be burried at as all we knew was that he went to the United States but now we know their was a daughter and she will have connections here in Northern Ireland through her father, if she was aware that he was married previously with sons.
