Does anyone know why on Thomas' marriage record to Annie McLaughlin his father is recorded as Thomas? Same thing for Thomas' son David, his father is recorded as David Moffat?

Was also wondering if anyone knew anything more about Robert Moffatt Seniors siblings as there are several Moffatts in the area who could all fit the bill

Thank you. Yes I seen the previous posts concerning the Moffatts and seen they were quite a few years ago and just wondered if anyone had any fresh information on them or their ancestors or stories etc. I understand you can't post about living people that is fair as I know Robert still has living children as does his brother Thomas
