That is all I know about her.

Yes Mary ADAMS is a brickwall in my tree too. I have Jane ROSE descended from John ROSE 1475-1524 of Haddenham. No spouse for him yet, but his son, also John, married Margaret WARREN, daughter of Laurence de WARRENNE (according to what I have found).

No, nothing. Do you have a name for the child to which you refer. I understand there were several. I only know what I posted. There's a chance someone will know of her and have more info - dates, place, names of children, and some downstream.

I have the date of the Charles COX - Jane ROSE marriage as 25 Nov 1790, unfortunately no record of place.
Jane ROSE christened 5 Jan 1764, Cuddington, died (or, possibly buried) 3 Oct 1783 - place unrecorded.
I have ancestry for Jane ROSE, but none for Charles COX.

Anyone have this individual on their tree. Nellie WEBB may have lived in Haddenham or Long Crendon.
Dates unknown but certainly during the previous century. Notable (or notorious?) for having children by different fathers (ones she wasn't wedded to). Anyone come across Nellie?

Surrey Lookup Requests / Re: Where is Amelia Whitehead nee Pedgrift after 1851

I don't know if we've now passed this point but Amelia Whitehead (nee Pedgrift) d.1853 is included in Ancestry with Josephs parents and Joseph and Amelia's three children.
I descend from Joseph, son of Joseph,'s sister.

Dorset / Re: Comben history in Portland, Dorset

My line is Comben and White from Portland. My first White descendant in the US was Bartholomew White, son of Thomas White and Barbara Comben (marriage 1715 at St. Andrew). I have US information on the Whites. Which are the best websites to learn more about Portland, the Whites, and the Combens?
Hello Carolyn
I have your Combens going a good way back from your ancestor if you still need that genealogy. Inevitably the White name recurs further back along the line. These are my own ancestors too so I would be glad of any downstream genealogy from Bartholomew, though I have quite a bit already (but I only know Bartholomew's wife as 'Alice'.)

Oxfordshire / Re: My Oxfordshire Names inc. Burrows, Rose, Burnard and Kirtland

Interesting: My own tree includes (in Oxfordshire) Burrows, Rose, Talbot, Narroway, Franklin, Knibbs, Dodwell, Allnutt, Boddington, Folley. Some of these names carry over into Buckinghamshire. Anyone else have connections between these particular names - always looking to expand and share?
