My Grandmother was a Downes and lived all her life in Kiltale.
My Great-great-grandfather, Thomas Downes and Sir Joseph Downes were first cousins.
Joseph's brother, Walter, lived in Kilmessan, Co. Meath.
Joseph was executor of Walter's will when he died in 1950:
