Hi,
Can anyone make out what is written in this coroners report?

I'm struggling to read most of what is said after this line:
Since I have known her she has been very weak and living in past.....

Also in the second attachment

What I have deciphered is:
but seemed likely to last a few days longer.
The cause?  of death was .... of the ..... ...... due to senile decay.

Thank you

Thank you all so much for your help!  :)

I agree it says Mr Rawson, senile changes of the brain and that she has been a quiet patient.

After having a quick search for a policeman named Mr Rawson in the small settlement where this patient was from, I found a court magistrate named Mr Rawson RM, so am thinking it is most likely him and that it says RM for Resident Magistrate.

She has been a .... patient, suffering from senile .... of the brain.

Devon / Re: Suggestions on where to next to find Elizabeth Radford
« on: Saturday 15 May 21 06:16 BST (UK)  »
Hi Sue,

I am also researching Elizabeth Radford, who is my 4th great grandmother.
I keep hitting dead ends with finding anything about Elizabeth before her marrying William Pote.

I'm not sure if you've seen the following newspaper article, so I just thought I'd mention it...
There is mention of Elizabeth in the Taranaki Herald in 1891 as a new settler arriving on the barque Blenheim. In this article, they mention Elizabeth as Mrs Pote instead of Elizabeth Payne, which gives another reason to believe that Elizabeth Payne on board the Blenheim is Elizabeth Radford.

In case you haven't seen this article, here is the link: https://paperspast.natlib.govt.nz/newspapers/TH18910702.2.28#print
