Hi my grandfather was Harry Sobey born 1902 in Haverford west. His mother was matilda marion sobey formerly webber father was william john joseph. Harry married Beatrice louisa sobey(formerly Henley) & was also born 1902 they had 4 girls my mother Barbara, Doris(eldest) Thelma & Margaret(died age 4) Beatrice & her daughters went to the workhouse and harry was only in touch again when he attended  margarets funeral. They never saw him again. When my mother was old enough she had heard he had moved to london & went to see him her visit wasnt a happy one he was living with  a woman at the time. She never saw him again after that. He died 11th June 1981 in Redbridge london. I hope this helps in some way. So your Robert Sobey was my grandfathers brother
