This seems to have gone quiet a while ago, but in case someone comes looking...
I think the Ralph Hammersley living at Loxley Hall in 1841 is my ancestor, born 1762 - died 1848.
He grew up in the area, married twice, has a number of children including Ralph (Christened locally 5/4/1802).
I can't see any links to other Hammersley here!?
It may not be him at Loxley, but I can't find a likely record on 1841 census anywhere else.
