Hi I am Philip Stephen Lawrence a direct descendant of George Lawrence son of Richard & Isabella. I have been adding onto the Heritage site and reached the same position as you. Where was Richard from?
I think...think that many left farming during the mid 1800's to areas of better prospects and later with the coming of the railways and docks. My great grandfather William T Lawrence are from Gravesend, Kent and then movement to Grimsby where I am now.
