I have just come across your post and realise it is a few years old but was wondering if you had any luck in locating some pictures? I recently rediscovered my Grandfather's service medals and they prompted me to search his army history and discovered he was in Bermondsey Military Hospital which might account for him being caretaker/boxing instructor at Michael Faraday school some years later. I recall both my Grandmother and Mother talking about the day a German bomb came through the roof of the school demolishing all but one gable end of the building and causing the family to be evacuated out of London. I have a photocopied photograph of a fireman removing a large portrait of Michael Faraday from the wall of the upper assembly hall ( I am certain the school had a rooftop playground until the bomb struck ) and the hall was immediately below the playground.
