Aberdeenshire / Re: St Fergus burial records

Just because he left a will does not guarantee a headstone exists.  Is there anything in his will re his wishes for disposal of his body

Nothing in his will stating his wishes except will be used for his debts, deathbed and funeral expenses, rest left to his 3 children, no will for his wife

Aberdeenshire / St Fergus burial records
« on: Friday 31 May 24 11:08 BST (UK)  »
Hi does anyone know where I can locate burial records for st fergus, I'm looking where Arthur Murray died 1899 is buried, he died at Newton of Rora, his wife Ann died in 1887 and cant locate her either.

Nothing on deceased online and have previously contacted the burial department a few times, they have said he's not in longside and they say they don't have records for st fergus, other times all I get is check deceased online as all records they hold are on there or pay over £30 for a search which is pointless if they don't have st fergus records.

Arthur was from st fergus and his parents are buried there, I've checked headstones there and nothing for Arthur, I'm assuming obviously there's a headstone as he left a will.

I also checked strichen as that's where his son was living at the time of his dad's death, did a look for memorial inscriptions and nothing, nothing in unpublished mi's either

Checked newspaper articles and nothing, would libraries have any books I can check?

Thanks

If mentioned on mi there would be a stone?
