Wow, that is some information folks, thanks for your diligence!
I came here this evening from this article which is actually my Father's Mother's family: https://www.irishgenealogy.ie/en/2016-family-history/case-studies/john-purcell
And this lead us to Bengal and back to New Ross. My Mother is also a Byrne derivative, possibly wexford, so I may be related to myself.
