By chance I came across your question online. I hope this manages to reach you. Mill Cottage is still there. It belongs to friend's of ours who have lived there for 20years now. If you'd like to email me I can connect you to them. They are currently facing a potential huge development threat and might be interested to link more history to the cottage to support their fight to preserve it.
