Several months ago, I began a blog about my research regarding the Mahers of Gortnahoe Parish, which I've been researching for many years. Many of my Maher relatives immigrated here, but I've also found relatives in Wales and England.

Hello,

My great-grandmother was Ellen Maher. She was the daughter of Patrick Maher and Bridget Mullally. She was born in 1847 and lived in Ballinastick. I am also closely related to other Maher families in the Parish of Gortnahoe (Ballinastick was in the Parish of Gortnahoe),  One of the other families lived in Ballinunty. That is the family of Patrick Maher and Bridget Mulhall. I have confirmed this through DNA matching. I'm wondering if you and I are related? Have you taken a DNA test? Would you be willing to explore if we are related?
