The Courier, Saturday, March 9, 1918.  Page 2, column 5

No mention of burial unfortunately.

There is an intimation in The Courier, but again no burial.

The Courier and Advertiser, Tuesday, February 28, 1950.  Page 8, column 6.
DUNCAN.- At D.R.I., on Feb. 27, 1950, William Suttie, aged 34 years, or D.C.T.D., dearly loved husband of Bessie Gillan.  Funeral on Wed. at 3 p.m. to Eastern Cemetery.  Friends wishing to attend please meet cortege at Eastern Cemetery gate at 3.20 p.m.

I don't know if 'or D.C.T.D.' is meant to be 'of D.C.T.D.' but definitely says 'or' in the paper.

Hi Jackie,

I know there is definitely a stone with the name Louise Cooney nee Lyon.

I live in Dundee and will pop in tomorrow 3 Aug 22, and take a pic.

There is no Hanfield Road in Lochee.  It'll be Harefield Road.

If you find out the section number, I will have a look and see if there is a headstone.  There are too many sections to traipse around looking for a specific lair number.  As other posters on here have said, email

                          parks.burials "at" dundeecity.gov.uk

and ask them the burial location of John Mitchell who died 26th August 1883.

If you ask for a female, say, Agnes H W Mitchell, you would need date of death and her maiden name.  If you don't refer her with her maiden name, they won't entertain you.

I would just ask about the son John and not mention anyone else.

Regards
John in Dundee
