Edith Louise Mary Ridley was my grandmother. She lived in Chelsea with husband Frank (Died ~1936 so I never knew him) who was a compositor working on the typesetting of books for Eyre & Spottiswood publishers. Their daughter Frances, my mother was the youngest sister. I knew of an Aunt Lilian but never met her, Isabel or their brother Fred. I did meet the eldest daughter Edith many times. I have a photo of my mother with Lilian when Lilian was May Queen of Chelsea.
The young man that I knew as Uncle Lionel was actually her illegitimate son who was was brought up as the son of Frank and Edith.
My great-grandfather Frederick Philips was a civil engineer and had something to do with the great Exhibition, in particular the fountain and he sometimes had to use diving gear to maintain it - hence the diver bit maybe.
