Hi Kevan,
I visited the Dornock Salmon Fisheries Cottage yesterday Mon 24th August 20.
Thomas McQueen indeed managed the Dornock fisheries, following this his son Robert? took over the management while he went on to manage the Salmon Fisheries at Abercorn on the River Forth for the Hppetoun Estate in the role of Tacksman.
He returned to Dornock, where he died and is probably buried in the Dornock Churchyard.
Thomas McQueen and Elizabeth Lorrain had many children their youngest was Patrick John Shaw Stewart McQueen, I am his direct descendant.
His son William Lorraine McQueen 1867 - 1905 lived and died in Dunragit
His son Patrick John McQueen 1897 - 1957 born Dunragit died Dumbarton
His son William Lorraine McQueen 1929 - 2019 Born Kirkmaiden died Dumbarton
