Yes there was another school in Culkeeny, Malin, Co.Donegal prior to the one you mention in your question. It was situated approximately 200yards down the road from the 60's school which you talk about on the site of a present day pub. The exact location can be seen on Griffiths Valuation which was compiled as far as I can remember in 1853. I can't tell you if there are any records of the students attending but these should be traceable from the Irish Census of 1901 and 1911 and prior to that Griffiths Valuation. I was born local to there so someone born in 1890 would be my grandparents generation so there's a good chance I'd know them.
