Hi
I'm researching the Mahon family of Belleville Co Galway who appear to be connected to the Mahons of Northampton. James Mahon of Northampton was apparently the son of Thomas Mahon of Belleville from Thomas's first marriage to Sibella Lambert. It's Thomas's ancestry I'm interested in. He was supposedly the son of Bryan Mahon of Rindifin/Drumconert/Derrycourt/Lakefield, Gort, (not to be confused with Bryan Mahon of Castlegar), who was the son of Thomas, son of Patrick, son of Thomas Moghane/Mahon, related in some way to Mahon O'Brien of Clonuane (Cluain Dubhain) Castle Co Clare, who was killed there in 1586.
Does anyone have any information about Thomas Mahon of Belleville and his ancestors? I'm looking for documentation to confirm the lineage.
Many thanks.
Brid
