The spelling of William and Venus’s surname is PEARCE...
they are my great grandparents (he was grandfather to my Dad, John Henry Oswald Pearce, an amazing man who unfortunately died in 2018 (late of Dee Why NSW. Dad was a lifesaver with North Bondi Surf Club in the early 1950s).
William Henry was Deputy Commissioner of the NSW Railways.
Dad’s dad, William Tobin, was oldest brother to Oswald.
Venus is a descendant of Matthew Everingham, a convict on the First Fleet.
Oswald Pearce, William and Venus’ youngest son, was Dad’s uncle:

Dad was an only child and mum only had one sister so we don’t know a lot of direct relatives of the Pearce family but my parents did attend one reunion 10 years ago.
