There was a building at the bottom of Bonhill brae that had 2 columns outside it quite an ornate building. My mother told me it used to be a bank at one time.
In the history of Bonhill it mentions the bank in Bonhill.

My family were the Reilly family who lived at Derrynascobe down the bog road until the land subsided. I'm sure the Martin's were their neighbours

There are Marren's in St Peter and St Pauls churchyard. There was a Marren family who stayed across the bog from my fathers famil at Derrynascobe .
One Jimmy Marren stayed in Glasgow for a number of years but he returned to Magheracloone and he is buried in the same churchyard.

Ther was a family called Martin who used to stay down the old bog road at Derrynascobe, they would have went to Saint Peter and Saint Paul's at Drumgossat Magheracloone.
