The Lighter Side / Re: Genes Reunited site
« on: Sunday 20 April 08 22:32 BST (UK)  »
Hi Anne,
The problem with accessing the Genes Reunited Trees, is that the person who's tree you wish to access, has to open that access by sharing their tree. You can access the site yourself, but to view someones tree, you need to be a member and have that person's permission. See how Barbara gets on tomorrow.
Cheers.
Brian

Hi,
My gt.grandmother lived in Wigan, but all her children were born in Blackley Manchester, this was the home of her parents where she returned to give birth. This crops up several times throughout my ancestors.
Cheers.

Hi,
Many thanks for your response. The marriage certificate reads:

Eliza Reid – Age Full – Worker in Wareroom, Woodstock Road Bally(macanett?)
Father, John Reid – Labourer.

We have no knowledge of any siblings.

Unwanted Birth, Marriage, Death Certs T to Z / WINNARD Richard Ashton birth 1839
« on: Monday 01 January 07 15:12 GMT (UK)  »
Birth Certificate for: Richard Ashton Winnard, born 7pm, 20th December 1839, Wallgate, Wigan.
Father: James Winnard, Brazier.
Mother: Ann Winnard formally Ashton.

I have scanned and saved this to my hard drive, so there is one certificate, but as many scanned colour copies as necessary, should there be more than one required.

Having said that, no one to date has ever required one of my surplus certificates.
Cheers,
Brian

Hi Jenny,
Yes, but a transcribed copy, not the original film.
My own line is OK as I am descended from Ralph. I just wanted to complete the "set".
Thanks again.
Season's Greetings.
Brian.

Hi again Jenny,
I'm satisfied that Elizabeth is the missing female. Just the firstborn to find now, must be male as Ralph is indicated as 2s. Ralph.
Season's Greetings.
Thanks again.
