Hi I know this is an old post but I’ve been researching my Adkins ancestors
Have you searched

A farmhouse in the fields in Chesterton Warwickshire
the Adkins family were farmers
And owned 120 acres of farm land after extensive research the Adkins family is huge but they were all well to do families all related in areas of cropredy and Banbury and Bainton Oxfordshire
And also came from Hampshire and Warwickshire

My 6x great grandfather was John Adkins born in 1794 in Cropredy his father was John Adkins

I was advised to contact the Oxford family history society as they can help after hitting a brick wall
I hope you found the information you were looking for in the last 10 years
