tried to attached a picture but unfortunately it won’t upload. He is 31 on his marriage certificate and listed as a widow. His father is boota Mohamed and no first name listed for mother but her maiden names looks like it might be shappi, she is listed as deceased.

I’ve just checked again and it says marine fireman. Not foreman

Unfortunately none of his daughters ever knew him. My gran was left with another family when she was a baby. I've been able to trace their mother but not their father, Golam. So on the marriage certs it only lists parents, no other information.
Listed on the marriage certificate in 1921 is says factory labourer, Widow, then on the birth certificate in 1922 it says what I think is Marine Foreman, but it could be machine foreman!
I believe when Lucy "married" Andrew, Andrew was also still married so no clues there either. I'm genuinely stuck. I feel I have looked every where I can and can't find any information on him.

Thank you for your reply.

It can't be the same one listed above as he died in 1921. My great-grandfather went on to have my grandmother in 1925.

Unfortunately Lucy's marriage to Andrew Clarke doesn't seem to have been legitimate. She is listed on his death certificate and at the point of marrying Patrick Burke is listed as Clark also however there is no official record of this marriage. However I will order the certificate for her marriage to Patrick and see what that says.

Thank you for your help.

Kind regards

Connie

I’m not sure if he was maybe a seaman that was gone again by then. It’s my great grandad and I have never been able to trace him. He married my great grandmother Lucy McCavisten in 1921, their daughter Essie Mohamed was born in 1922 and the address listed on her birth certificate is 6 brown street. They then had my grandmother in 1925. Then I can find no trace of him at all :(

I am trying to trace any Mohamed that stayed at 6 brown street in Glasgow in 1922. I have found records that Nathoo Mohamed stayed at the address and handed it over to his brothers in 1924. However I know that seamen perhaps stayed in the address previously to this. Does anyone know how I may trace them? I am looking for Golam Mohamed
