Occupation Interests / Tidewaiters wife

Hi
Does anyone have any idea where a tidewaiter might have been recorded in the 1851 census if he was at work in the London docks on the census night?
In the 1851 census my 3x gt grandmother Johanna Carroll is recorded as a Tidewaiters wife (customs) (HO107 1552) and as Head of the household but I can't find her husband John Carroll (born Ireland 1820) anywhere ?
Unlike being in the Navy he would not be registered on board a boat so I'm not sure where to look.
Interestingly Judith Gallagher (sponsor of one of their children's baptism) is also recorded as 'Wife of a Tide Waiter (customs)' - where was her hubby too ?? (HO 107 1553)
Have looked at all the leads I found on the other tidewaiters thread but I'm now stuck !

Would that have been at an Anglican church, maybe the church of St. Martin ? as Johanna went on to marry into the RC faith.
Would it be possible to find any brothers/sisters in the records please ?

By 1851 she had married John Carroll so had become Johanna Carroll (marriage 1844 Marylebone) and was living in Stepney, London HO 107/ 1552 No.3 Bedford Street, Mile End Old Town Upper, Stepney.

Would someone mind looking for Johanna SYMONS in the Liskeard PRs as I can't seem to find them online anywhere.
I found from the 1851 census she was born about 1819 and her mother was Mary.

I've just come across Susannah Kite married 1783 Kent, in our tree but this was in Margate not Chilham - but I thought it might be worth asking

I would appreciate it very much if someone could help me by looking up Cornelia (also known as Ellen) EVANS born abt 1814 in Dilton Marsh or Edington.
Any leads on Danial WILCOX of about the same date/place would also be appreciated, as I have be told he was the father of one of Cornelia's out of wedlock children - but have no further info about him.
