Hi John,
I think the chuckie disappeared in the early sixties. Battleburn street disappeared from the maps at the same time.
In 1969 My grandparents and mum were cleared from their old “slum” housing in the Rottenrow in Glasgow and relocated to the newly built flats on tollcross road where the chuckie would have stood. My grandparents still lived there until their deaths about five years ago. similar flats were built down the eversley street side. The back court was massive so I presume that was the old back court of the chuckie, made even larger due the removal of battleburn street as the grass went right up to the border wall with the old school, which has now been turned into a housing centre itself.
