Hi Mike - nice to hear from you.
Is that Thomas son of Thomas Stratton and Margaret Simons or Thomas Williams Trathen, son of George and Elizabeth??? I would be really interested to link up and exchange information although it soiunds like you've gone a lot further back than me.  I am back to 1744, with help from this board - the marriage of Edward Stratton and Jane Uren at St Uny, Lelant.  My gt gt gt grandfather is Robert Trathen b. 1825, son of Thomas and Margaret.
Very best
J

Dear Peter
I just found your reply to one of my very early messages (2001)on Geneology.com.  I am a Trathen and was born in Hayle and still live in the area, and my father and grandfather and greatgrandfather were all born in either Phillack or Copperhouse, Hayle. I haven't had time to look at my family history research for quite a while but will certainly dig out my files and see what I have. Ironically - even though I was 'born and bred' there I have very scant information about my greatgrandfather Robert Trathen who must have been born around 1895-1905, so I am never sure which branch of the family I come from.
I also know some of the Uren's of Lelant but never knew there was a family connection between the two families!
Very best
J
