Thank you so much!

I finally have the answer as to the "Rea" name- being his mother's name (Margaret Rea) and he was born out of wedlock and given the name 'James'.(1871) This has been a question for many years!
So Margaret Rea eventually married James Crauthers and son 'James' took his surname to become Wm John Crauthers (Crothers) but also known as 'James Rea' for legal docs (as seen in Immigration Docs). I am assuming James Crothers was the child's biological father... I am continuing to look for marriage cert of Margaret and James to see if it was around the time of the child's birth.
Wife of Wm John 'James Rea' Crothers, Agnes also born out of wedlock and went by several different names: Currie/Curry (mother: Elizabeth Curry), Leech-Armstrong (don't know where the 'Leech' name comes from) as no father listed on birth record --was he the bio father perhaps?
(I am the same sherianne from a 2009 post). I hope I didn't cause undue searching. Wasn't sure what to include in my question. These links and replies have definitely given MUCH information that I did not have.
Also-thank you for the info on County Antrim and Ballymena etc. As I am in Canada, it's difficult to know if the places I'm seeing are in proximity and make sense to the search.
