Hello all
I've got an ancestor shown in the 1939 Register as living in Doncaster. He worked on the railway as a passed fireman, passed for driving LMS. I always thought Doncaster was a GNR/LNER depot, Was there a LMS depot or did they share some part with the LNER. He had previously been on the L&Y railway before it got amalgamated. He lived at 100 Cedar Rd, Doncaster. He had three brothers on the railway too, all ex LYR then LMS but they were in the Dewsbury area.
Many Thanks
Mick
