World War One / Re: Munday surname

Hello again Mavowl, thanks for the reply and offer of info. I have already obtained the full info for William Lewis Munday including birth cert and army records, but that was a very kind offer from you.

It may be that I can help you as I did a lot of other research on other William Mundays, father also William Munday born about 1897. I researched a William S Munday from Walworth in London who's father William Munday was a cabman. Is this any use to your research or can I help you with any others.
Best Wishes
Arty

Hello mavowl, I have done a lot of research on the Munday family of Alton in Hampshire, England from the village of Bentworth. Could this be the same family as yours? If Silas Munday, John Munday or Kezia Windebank ring any bells with you please feel free to contact me again.

Dear Ken I came across your search pages while looking for my own armstrong's from newcastle and my family is the same as the one you believe to be yours.

Florence Lillian born 1888 in Newcastle is my husbands grandfathers sister. There were were 11 children in total of George and Mary Armstrong on the 1881, 1891 and 1901 census . Mary, Elizabeth, George, Isabella, Annie, Agnes Augusta, Joseph Burton, Florance Lilian, William J, Ethel Maud and Edith May. But I am pretty sure Florance Lilian married Frank Pearson in 1915 in Newcastle and a son George Pearson was born in 1917. If you have further info we could share please contact me
Best Wishes Joan

She is the only one I have found in the register of births also.

I have found Nellie Wraight on the births, marriages and deaths register.
Registered as NELLIE WRAIGHT born Faversham 1879 and registered in qtr july, aug sept 1879 GRO no 2a 811 so you should be able to apply for her birth cert. This is a really easy process thro the  GRO website and costs only £7 - takes about 3 weeks max usually to get cert back.

1851 census shows William Munday born Priors Dene as an apprentice not living with his family but I have found the following entry on 1841 census. !841 doesn't show relatinships to one another but I hope this helps.
Contact me if you wnt 1851 info
