Thank you, but I have already found and used this site.
I have had a message on the Caverswall parish family history forum for some time now.
I am beginning to think she may have been born and christened in another parish nearby  to Caverswall.Do you know if all the Caverswall parish registers have been transcribed for the period of 1807-15?
I have recently found another ancestor searching for Olive Simcock. We have pooled resources for her later life after she had left Caverswall, but we are both now stuck finding where she was born and her mothers name.
I would like to add how excellent the Caverswall parish forum site is.

Thank you for your promt reply. I am most grateful to you.She is proving difficult to find. She seems to have left Caverswall under a cloud. I have recently found a message on a Simcock web site dated 2001 - searching for the same Olive Simcock. In this message it states she had an illegitimate child in Caverswall before  marrying a soldier, Lawrence Anthony in Manchester. He dies and she then marries my gggrandfather Andrew Reilly, also a soldier.Unfortunately the e-mail address for the message  is not now active.
She names her first 2 daughters - Elizabeth  ( one daughter from each marriage).
Due to the dates neither can be the illegitimate child.I wonder if she has changed her name! Perhaps her name is Elizabeth????
Due to conflicating dates on census records her birth could be 1807 or 1814.

The 1841 census results could be her parents with grandchildren of her siblings.

Thanks once again - the plot thickens!
abarnes.
