Wicklow / Mary Doolittle
« on: Sunday 03 May 20 05:09 BST (UK)  »
Hi Doolittle's i am a descendant of George Doolittle b1783 and Catherine Connor b1780 through their son John Doolittle b1822 who married Ellen Cooney b1823 through their daughter Catherine Doolittle b1845 who married Charles Hawes b1845.

My question to anyone with information is about Edward Doolittle b1812 & Mary Ryan's daughter Mary or Maria Doolittle b1837.  I am trying to work out whom she married.

I have 2 possibilities.
There is a Mary Doolittle & John Wall who had a daughter Mary Wall 22nd March 1865 in Ashford Wicklow OR
Maria Doolittle who married Hugh McGahan 22nd April 1873.  This lists here father as Edward.

I cannot find a marriage for Mary & John Wall - Could it be 2 different Mary's, or she married twice.

Hope someone can help.  Cheers

Hi i know this post is from 2014 but hopefully your still being notified of this message.

I have been researching Isabella Erskine and agree with some of the information that you have.  However I dont believe that all of Isabella's children are Mark Gray's.  Isabella's 2nd child Christina McBarth Erskine b 27/7/1860 has the middle name of McBarth which is the same as her 1st child Arthur Gray Erskine b 27/3/1857.  I believe the middle names are the father's surname.  Unfortunately Charlotte b 2/12/1861, James b 2/3/1862, the unnamed deceased baby girl and her final child Isabella do not have the fathers name as middle name.  I have looked at getting the court documents mentioned in a previous message however it will cost 45 pound.

Was there anything specific in your research that states Mark Gray is the father of any other of Isabella's other children?
Would love to hear from you.  Cheers Linda
