Looking into william flack, got several hits between 1850 - 1890 but all seem to be Northern based. Might be an interesting lead to follow. Thanks for pointing this out.

Going by other records i think he was born in 1860 meaning hes 21 in the earliest petty records, so im guessing hes not from enniscorthy. I hoped the origional poster of this thread might have said he was a cousin or brother of his mccanns but sadly not.
On the wedding cert hes described as a labourer.
Some of the older people in town say he may have had a northern accent and the only actual record i could find for an aidan mcann was a gravestone in fermanagh with just a name on it.

Hello, i cant open the census link he is on new street though, must have been 1911 census, the 1901 census then hes on the ross road.
I have dog licence and petty court sessions going back to either 1887 or 1897 in enniscorthy when he was about 21 but before that ive no record as to where he came from.
I have the mariage cert which says his father was aidan but he was married in st aidans. Fathers name could possibly be fake.

Im looking in to my great great grandfather Richard Mccann. In 1901 he lived in New Street and was a Tailor. His fathers name was Aidan but apart from that little is known.
I came across a Felix mccann in my research, i believe it was a marrage in a place called balinamona. His fathers name was hard to make out but it may have been Aidan, though maybe not. Ill try to find it again and post it if i can.
